Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the appliance repair services provided by Rocky View Appliance Repair (“Rocky View”, “we”, “us”). By booking a service with us, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Services

Rocky View provides diagnosis, repair and parts replacement for residential household appliances — including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves and ovens — across Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere and Okotoks. Service is provided for appliances that are installed in a residence, in proper working condition prior to the fault, and safely accessible to our technician.

2. Booking & Service Appointments

When you request service, we will arrange an appointment at a time that works for you. We aim to diagnose and repair your appliance during the first visit, though in some cases a follow-up visit is required while a replacement part is ordered. You agree to provide safe, ready access to the appliance and an accurate description of the fault.

3. Pricing & Payment

We provide upfront pricing before any work begins. Charges may include a diagnostic fee, labour and the cost of any parts required. Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Applicable taxes are added to all charges. If a diagnostic fee applies, it will be communicated to you before the visit.

4. Workmanship & Parts Warranty

Repairs carried out by Rocky View are backed by a 90-day warranty covering both parts we supply and the labour involved. If a covered repair fails within the warranty period, we will return to correct the issue at no additional labour cost. The warranty does not cover new, unrelated faults, damage caused after our visit, or parts supplied by the customer.

5. Parts Availability

We make every reasonable effort to source replacement parts promptly. Occasionally, limited availability may cause delays. If a required part is no longer available or cannot be obtained at a reasonable cost, the appliance may be deemed non-repairable, and either party may choose not to proceed with the repair.

6. Liability

We take care to diagnose and repair appliances correctly, but accurate diagnosis is not always possible on the first visit. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use an appliance. Where a covered repair is unsuccessful or a supplied part fails, our sole responsibility is to correct the problem or replace the part. We do not cover defects subject to a manufacturer’s recall or in-home warranty.

7. Exclusions

Our service and any warranty do not cover faults or costs arising from:

  • Commercial or non-residential use of the appliance.
  • Pre-existing defects present before our service.
  • Misuse, abuse, accidental damage, tampering, or repairs by anyone other than Rocky View.
  • Fire, flood, storm, freezing, power surges, blown fuses or other events outside our control.
  • Improper installation, lack of routine maintenance, or incorrect appliance settings.

8. Technician Safety & Access

Our technicians may decline to carry out service where conditions are unsafe or unsanitary, where animals or pests pose a risk, or where the appliance is not readily accessible (for example, in a crawl space or attic). In such cases we may deem the appliance ineligible for service.

9. Personal Information

We collect personal information only to schedule, deliver and bill for our services. We do not knowingly share your information with third parties except as needed to provide service, process payment, or comply with the law. For details on how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you book a service is the version that applies to that service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
